Applesauce Day 2014

Our annual applesauce day came and went over a month ago and I'm just now getting to photos.  Oops!

The kids that were little and had to be walked through each step aren't little anymore. Now they're walking the next group of little kids through each step.

It's all part of my master plan.  Once they know how to do it without supervision, then I no longer have to do it.  Don't get me wrong, I love this day, but I enjoy taking photos more than I enjoy bagging applesauce.

Ok. I'll remain silent for most of this post. I'll just chime in if there's something interesting to say.  Enjoy!

Leia has a special place every kid's heart. Leia can do what no one else can do and every kids wants to play with Leia.  Hannah is no exception.  She loves this ninja.

Leia took Hannah out to the garage to gather apples.  Hannah's outfit was so spectacular that I had to follow along.

This day is not Charlie's favorite day.  She loves all the visitors, but by the time we get home, this dog is pooped and can't even keep her eyes open.  She's in her window seat within minutes of getting home and she doesn't move for hours.

Because we're still immature - we took a picture of the apple that looked like a butt.

See that face? That's Tommy's excited face.  The first bit of applesauce was almost ready!

He was pretty excited.

Hannah's not much into saying "cheese" for photos.

It takes a skilled Ninja to open a door and hold a 2 year old at the same time.  In case you are wondering about the costume, we had applesauce day the day after Halloween.

Why I thought we could take a normal photo I'll never know.  I should have known better.

Every bag is labeled and numbered.  This is a favorite activity for the kids.  It also makes every bag of applesauce fun - you never know what your bag is going to say when you pull it out of the freezer.

Notes that appear over and over "____ is awesome" or "____ is not cool".  Fill in the blank with any person's name. It just depends on who is writing the notes.

Hannah wanted a turn to fill the bags.  She's so proper.  Pinky out!

And of course she needed a turn to write.

Applesauce Day is tiring for everyone.

I'm already excited for next year!
